🇸🇾 Syrian Forces Respond Vigorously to Ceasefire Violations by Western Backed Terrorist Groups
In a robust reaction to ceasefire violations by terrorist organizations in the northwest “de-escalation” zone, the Syrian Arab Army has struck back, inflicting direct casualties among their ranks. Simultaneously, Russian fighter jets intensified their bombardment of terrorist sites in Idlib for the second consecutive day.
The ceasefire, established under the Russian-Turkish “Moscow Agreement” in March 2020, has faced continuous breaches by terrorist factions in the southern countryside of Idlib, as well as the western countryside of Hama and Aleppo. Syrian army units retaliated with artillery and missile shelling, targeting terrorist positions and causing significant disruption to their activities.
Field sources in the “de-escalation” department reported that Syrian army units, in response to attacks on their concentration points, ignited the “contact lines” in the southern countryside of Idlib, specifically in Jabal al-Zawiya at Al-Fatira, Fleifel, and Sufuhan. This decisive move resulted in casualties among Western backed terrorists affiliated with the “Al-Fatah Al-Mubin” operations room, led by the Al-Nusra Front, also known as “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.”
In addition to ground operations, the Syrian Arab Army directed missile attacks on the positions of “Al-Fatah Al-Mubin” terrorists near the towns of Maarat Aliya and Maarat Al-Naasan in the northeastern countryside of Idlib, causing confirmed casualties among their ranks.
The military actions extended to the western countryside of Aleppo, where the Syrian Arab Army successfully destroyed fortifications belonging to Al-Nusra and the Turkestan Islamic Party terrorists near the towns of Al-Qasr, Kafr Amma, and Kafr Taal. More than 10 terrorists were killed or wounded, and an armored vehicle, two troop carriers, and a heavy artillery piece were destroyed.
Responding to artillery shelling in Al-Ghab Plain in the western countryside of Hama, the army engaged in clashes with terrorists from the Turkestan Islamic Party in the Kabana axis in Jabal al-Akrad in the northern countryside of Latakia, resulting in casualties among the terrorist group.
In parallel, Russian warplanes targeted and destroyed a headquarters of Al-Nusra terrorists near the industrial city to the west of Idlib. Two terrorists were killed in the operation, following a previous strike at the same location in late November, which had targeted the same headquarters.
In the eastern desert, joint Syrian and Russian airstrikes inflicted heavy losses on the ISIS terrorist organization over the past two days in the Sukhna desert in the eastern countryside of Homs and Al-Rusafa in the western desert of Raqqa. The airstrikes targeted ISIS hideouts deep in the desert, effectively eliminating terrorists and destroying their infrastructure.
