🇧🇭 Bahrain Ends Economic Ties with Israel and Recalls Ambassador in Protest
In a recent development, the Bahraini House of Representatives has taken a significant step by cutting off economic ties with Israel and recalling its ambassador from Tel Aviv. This decision comes as a response to what they describe as ongoing “barbaric crimes” committed by the Israeli regime against Gaza.
As of now, the Bahraini government has not officially stated its position on this matter.
Concurrently, the Ministry of Health in Gaza made a grim announcement on Thursday, reporting a total of 9,061 casualties, including 3,760 children and 2,326 women, due to the Israeli assaults on the besieged enclave.
The backdrop for this move can be traced back to the launch of “Operation al-Aqsa Storm” by the Gaza-based Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, on October 7. This operation was initiated in response to what they deemed intensified crimes by Israeli forces and settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. In retaliation, the Israeli government launched a campaign of destruction and loss of life in Gaza. The situation remains tense, with no immediate resolution in sight.
