🇱🇧 Hezbollah Issues Ultimatum for Ceasefire in Gaza, Threatens War with Israel
In a significant development, the leader of Hezbollah in Lebanon, Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, has reportedly issued an ultimatum to the United States, demanding an immediate end to Israel’s military operations in Gaza by November 3. This ultimatum was revealed through diplomatic sources in Kuwait’s Al-Jarida newspaper, with Iranian involvement in the negotiations.
According to these diplomatic sources, Sheikh Nasrallah has conveyed a stern message that, if the United States fails to meet this demand, he will announce a “general mobilization of Shia units for war with Israel” during his televised address on Friday. This mobilization would include launching military operations against Israel from multiple directions.
It is noteworthy that the ultimatum and its terms were discussed and agreed upon by Sheikh Nasrallah and Brigadier General Esmail Qaani, who serves as the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ Quds Force. General Qaani arrived in Beirut on Tuesday, emphasizing the high-level Iranian involvement in these negotiations.
The context for this ultimatum is a growing concern over the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza, with Hezbollah and its allies clearly expressing their support for the Palestinian cause. General Qaani reportedly raised the issue during a meeting of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, suggesting that Tehran’s regional allies might risk losing popular support if they do not actively support the Palestinian people in their struggle.
The situation remains tense and continues to evolve rapidly, with the threat of a broader conflict looming unless a ceasefire in Gaza is achieved by the specified deadline. The international community is closely monitoring the developments in the region and is working to find a diplomatic solution to defuse the growing tensions.
