Overview
Champa Lao is one of two guesthouses on the main party island in the middle of the Nam Song, which is predominantly made up of shanty dance venues and chill out bars, happily pumping out tunes until whenever the curfew happens to be. In early 2007 the bungalows were closed for repair. Their style remains the basic bamboo structure with no frills. Champa Lao now have rooms for rent in a pair of adjacent traditional Lao hardwood houses on the mainland overlooking the bungalows. The down to earth theme is continued here poky spaces, small shutter windows, simple furnishings, shared bathouroom facilities and wafer thin bamboo screen walls all represented.
