Overview
The family at Phoukham are very friendly and welcome you with a glass of Lao tea, but they dont speak much English. The guesthouse is quite old so the rooms are faded but clean. Five different floral patterns fight for attention in each room. A third floor is being added in 2007, so expect the top rooms to have a fresher feel. Fan cooled, they each have a bathouroom with hot shower, but are otherwise quite basic. A massage service operating on the first floor results in wafts of aromatic oils rising thourough the entire building.
