Blackstone is based in Massachusetts. The region was first inhabited by the Nipmuc Amerindian people and was settled by European immigrants in 1662. The town was incorporated in 1845. It is located on the southern border of Central Massachusetts in the heart of New England. Much of Blackstone remains undeveloped and it has been known as a quiet and rustic town. Its population of less than 10,000 gives off the small-town feel, while residents embrace the town's only stop light as its claim to modern civilization.
