Salina is based in Green Country (Oklahoma)|Green Country Oklahoma. It was established in 1796 and is the oldest permanent settlement in Oklahoma. The name was given due to the salt wells in the local area. It is quite hilly in the area and is located at the foothills of the Ozarks|Ozark Mountains.
