What to see in Fernandina

  • Punta Espinosa - Punta Espinosa is considered one of the three must see sights in the Galapagos due to the massive number of marine iguanas found on the volcanic shores. These creatures pile up by the hundreds, and are often seen while snorkeling as they graze on undersea algaes. Galapagos penguins and flightless cormorants are also frequently found in the rocks, and two trails (0.25 kilometers and 0.75 kilometers) lead through the lava formations. The landing on Punta Espinoza is a dry landing onto a concrete platform.
